Internationally renowned recording artist, composer, producer, and NEA Jazz Master Delfeayo Marsalis is joined by The Thelonious Monk Institute OfJazz All-Star Sextet and vocalist Lisa Henry for one great evening of music. Internationally renowned recording artist, composer, producer, and NEA Jazz Master Delfeayo Marsalis is one of the top trombonists on the scene today. A member of today’s “royal family of jazz,” he grew up along with his talented brothers in the birthplace of jazz, New Orleans, where he gained a deep respect for this music’s great tradition and sensibilities. Lisa Henry is a dynamic vocalist with a combination of swingin’ cool and down home class. Henry was a winner of the 1994 Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz International Vocals Competition and was later named an International Jazz Ambassador to Africa. Two Shows at 8:00 and 10:00 pm.
